When the Diagnosis is Cancer
>> May 22, 2009
Since I just had a thyroid biopsy done on Monday to check for cancer in three solid nodules on my thyroid, cancer has been on my mind a little more than usual. OK, a lot more than usual. Statistically speaking, my results should be negative unless it's just not my lucky day.
I can't imagine the upheaval in the family if my results turn out to be positive between the health care costs, time, medical procedures, etc. It's just not something I want to even consider (who would?). If positive, mine wouldn't be attributed to any one thing where blame could be placed. It's just the way it is.
For others, there are reasons that cause cancer. Sometimes those reasons can result in the individual with the diagnosis, or their family, getting in touch with a lawyer. For instance, if you are diagnosed with mesothelioma, you will want to get in touch with Mesothelioma lawyers. For me, it would just mean dealing with whatever comes my way in the best way possible.
